J&B Met

Kenilworth Racecourse

Anyone in the know, will tell you that the last Saturday of January is blocked out in the diaries of horse-racing fans, fashionistas and those feeling flush. The prestigious race showcases 16 of South Africa’s top horses who compete for the R2 500 000 stake over 2 000 meters. But the horses are not the only ones to strut their stuff: fashionistas try to outdo each other on the ramp with daring couture creations that interpret the annual theme. In 2016 the J&B™ Met celebrates its heritage with “A Rare Blend” as the theme. To be one of the more than 50 000 revellers buy your tickets when they go on sale in January 2016. As it is a gambling event, no under-18s are allowed.
