The FNB Cape Town12 OneRun is on Sunday 15 May, a scenic 12km race that combines competitive spirits with the stunning vistas of the Cape. With over 10,000 participants, the city comes alive with athletes and their supporters looking to make new friends and run their personal bests. Celebrate the occasion with a solid race performance, and head for a healing spa treatment followed by a sea-side stroll. Then, meet up with your race buddies for one of the cold ’99 bottles’ and a bacon-inspired feast.

FNB OneRun


Race day has arrived! You've been training and now it's time to hit the road for the OneRun. It’s a flat 12km route that takes runners through a working harbour and into a quiet city centre for a scintillating, fast and furious finish. Along the way you're amped up by the energy from the throngs of supporters as you compete for cash prizes, lucky draws and your ultimate personal best.

What satisfies a pre-race hunger better than an Italian feast? Indulge in homemade pasta from one of Cape Town’s finest restaurants, and winners of the Birra Moretti Best Emerging Italian Restaurant Awards. All the food is stand out at Burrata, but the pizza menu is the locals’ favourite. Made according to Naples tradition, even the pizza oven was built by a third-generation Italian family. With credentials like this, you know you’ll be well fuelled-up for the big day!

The Sea Point Promenade runs along the Atlantic beachfront all the way from the V&A Waterfront to Camps Bay. The scenic paved walkway is free to all visitors, and popular for dog-walking, jogging, cycling, skateboarding, walking and more. Set your alarm clock for an early morning run from the Green Point Light House, with the rising sun at your back and a view of the ocean. Head to Bantry Bay and back, or stop for breakfast at one of the many cafes and restaurants along the strip.


Long Street, CBD

You don’t come to Cape Town for a race without making a few new friends. Catch up on all the post-race news over cold ones at Beerhouse on Long Street. The bar boasts 20 taps and ‘99 bottles’ of the best local and international brews. The ambience is gastropub meets beer garden, and there’s a balcony and outside terrace. If you arrive on Sunday, take advantage of their Sunday Roast special.
